Message to graduating self

Dear graduating self, you have made it through the overloading stress of the essays, tests and many quizzes throughout the years! The first day of high school wasn't the best, It must have taken me 15 minutes or more just to find my first class. When I eventually entered my first class all I had seen were new faces, I didn't see a single person that was from my elementary school. After about two weeks the routine set in and I was more comfortable in my classes. I had even found one of my closest friends to this day in my first class of grade eight. The transition from elementary to high school is tough. However, I imagine that the transition you are making from leaving high school to entering university or college will be twice as difficult. Right now I imagine myself working as a counselor at the children's hospital. I can imagine myself going across the stage and picking up my diploma and thinking whats next? As from elementary to high school I was always told the next step. I guess that's all a part of growing up, 'to find the the next step.' From grade eight to almost the middle of grade nine I feel that I have moved a step up in my learning. What I mean by that is I have improved and I have put in all my efforts to come out with a grade that best suits me. I have learned that high school isn't just about learning, although that it is a major chunk of it. It also contains of building a strong person within you. So far I have learned a lot about me in high school and generally a lot about high school it self. I look forward to learn even more about this stepping stone in the next three years I am here. A wise teacher once told me, high school is your buffet take all you can because soon you will have to pay for it.
